205 Hyndland Rd, Glasgow G12 9HE

The Rock, Hyndland is a welcoming community pub known for its buzzing Friday night live music, lively sports crowd, and popular pool table, it’s a local favourite.

Expect a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere where lively pool matches might be happening during your set. The crowd is supportive and music-loving. They often stick around for the full night and might even throw in the odd song request. It's the kind of place where good tunes and good chat go hand in hand.

A Wee Bit About BNL’s beginnings

This was Brass Neck Live’s first pub: the place where it all began.

Back in 2022, Alex was working as a bar manager in Inverness. Keen to get back to a livelier, music-filled city, she moved to Glasgow and transferred to The Rock and picked up playing again, having previously been a trombonist in Edinburgh.

Once settled, she quickly noticed the live music was lacking, so she took matters into her own hands. Within six months, Friday nights were transformed, attracting a consistent crowd and boosting revenue. Her efforts paid off: another Glasgow venue, The Auctioneers (more about them on the next page) asked for help with their programming, and the Area Manager awarded her a prize for "Innovation".

  • Performers set up at the end of the bar, under the TV. Right of the bar, facing the pool table as you enter.

  • There is a PA and speakers available on-site however, I would recommend that you use your own.

You will need a mic and mic stand (there is a mic stand however, it does have a mind of its own and you may end up doing the limbo while singing).

  • A mixed bag of popular hits across genres will go down well.

The regulars are music lovers, they may request some obscure but excellent tunes.

Please download the app and request the agreed fee on the day of your performance. If you need any help, get in touch.
